Success story

Here's how I helped bring the bestseller non-fiction book 'Win-Win-House' to the German market:

Issue

Process

Kasper approached my colleague Miranda on LinkedIn, asking her to translate the English version of Win-Win-House into German. She accepted this big translation project and booked me as her trusted editor. Together we made sure that we stayed true to the intended tone of voice and that the German content was error- and typo-free. The workload also included localizing images and graphs so they would make sense to a German readership. The project spanned over 5 months and was a testament to our great collaborative translator-editor relationship.

Outcome

The German version of Win-Win-House was published in November of 2023 and has since been available on Amazon. Publishing their book in German allowed Kasper and his team to enter the German-speaking market and share their vision with marketing professionals in the DACH region. I enjoyed this project a lot and learned so much along the way – about marketing as well as managing my workflow. Editing a little at a time on a consistent basis turned out to work like a charm.

Feedback

“Belinda proofread and edited my German translation of Win-Win-House by P. Brændholt & K. Sierslev. Not only did she ensure that spelling and phrasing were consistent throughout, but – thanks to her marketing background and her high level of creativity – she was able to make great suggestions regarding some of the trickier bits in the text. Knowing that she “had my back” gave me peace of mind and was absolutely priceless. I will certainly collaborate with her again on similar projects!”
