Having your text edited before it goes live is a great way to get some peace of mind and feel confident about what you’re putting out there!

Even translators, content and copywriters need a fresh pair of eyes to make sure their words work – sans typos and grammar mishaps.

Whether you’re working on website copy, social posts or a non-fiction book, I’m happy to have a closer look for you. I edit content in English (US and UK) and German.

Does this sound familiar?

You already master the craft of writing – but you need a fresh, outside perspective to make sure your copy or content isn’t missing anything.

You’re looking for someone to improve your content for linguistic accuracy, spelling, grammar, punctuation and flow.

Some of your marketing materials need a style and tone upgrade so that everything makes sense, is on-brand and speaks to your dream customer base.

Let’s work together

Why choose me?

I care about high-quality copy and content. And I spot mistakes and lacklustre tonality from a mile away (it’s a blessing and a curse!).

With a combination of trusted quality assurance methods, I make your English and German texts shine and read well so you can feel good about what you’re putting out there!

Let's work together in 4 simple steps

1. Get in touch

Email me the content you’d like me to edit as an MS Word file along with your style, brand or tonality guide and any other information related to your project. If this is our first time working together, I also invite you to book an intro call so we can get to know each other!

2. Let’s sign off on the details

As soon as I’ve had a look at your text and project requirements, I’ll be in touch to confirm the deadline, rate and any other specifics. I’ll also ask you to sign my Terms of Business so we can enter our business relationship stress-free.

3. Lean back and relax

Lean back while I edit your content and read it out loud to make sure it flows and ’snaps'. In case I have any questions along the way, I’ll contact you via email.

4. Time for your content to shine

At this stage, your text sounds smooth, natural, on-brand and ready for your English- or German-speaking target audience to enjoy! This is when I encourage you to share any final feedback. When you’re happy, I’m happy!

Success story

Here's how I helped bring the bestseller non-fiction book 'Win-Win-House' to the German market:

Issue

Process

Kasper approached my colleague Miranda on LinkedIn, asking her to translate the English version of Win-Win-House into German. She accepted this big translation project and booked me as her trusted editor. Together we made sure that we stayed true to the intended tone of voice and that the German content was error- and typo-free. The workload also included localising images and graphs so they would make sense to a German readership. The project spanned over 5 months and was a testament to our great collaborative translator-editor relationship.

Outcome

The German version of Win-Win-House was published in November of 2023 and has since been available on Amazon. Publishing their book in German allowed Kasper and his team to enter the German-speaking market and share their vision with marketing professionals in the DACH region. I enjoyed this project a lot and learned so much along the way – about marketing as well as managing my workflow. Editing a little at a time on a consistent basis turned out to work like a charm.

Feedback

“Belinda proofread and edited my German translation of Win-Win-House by P. Brændholt & K. Sierslev. Not only did she ensure that spelling and phrasing were consistent throughout, but – thanks to her marketing background and her high level of creativity – she was able to make great suggestions regarding some of the trickier bits in the text. Knowing that she “had my back” gave me peace of mind and was absolutely priceless. I will certainly collaborate with her again on similar projects!”

Client testimonials

“Belinda provides quick feedback on my German translation with creative suggestions that will lead to best results for our client, and she has great attention to detail. Spotting a double space either means she has eagle eyes, or a process implemented to pick up on these things – possibly both. I am looking forward to a long cooperation.”
